Always fresh. Always baked ‘round the clock. And always right before your eyes (we don’t want anything between us). We use simple, natural ingredients, and no way do we add anything we can’t pronounce. Got a few minutes to spare? Stay back and eat-in. The aroma of freshly-baked bagels is pretty relaxing (we think). Oh, and did we mention we bake our own bread, too?
We’ve got some cool ways for you to eat your bagel after it’s done baking. Seriously. Chevre-goat-cheese shmear? No problem. A sprinkle of za’atar? Heck, yeah. Green-olive cream cheese? Why, we just made it twenty minutes ago! Maybe you’re keeping it simple today and a plain shmear on sesame will do the job. Don’t worry, we won’t judge.
We got you. Which is why you won’t see us serve the burnt stuff other bagel shoppes pass off as “coffee.” We source our coffee from five different regions in Central and South America and our partner coffee shop, Cocoa Grinder, roasts it right on site. We guarantee that from bean to cup, you always get the freshest brew (besides, who can resist that morning combo — bagel and coffee? That’s right. Neither can we.)
Melt-in-your-mouth warm chocolate rugalech. Scrumptious cheesecakes (New York style, of course). Piping-hot flaky croissants. We’re smitten by all things sweet and savory from the bakeries of Brooklyn. Part of our mission is supporting local pastry awesomeness and sourcing it all for you to enjoy. Is it really obvious how much we love Brooklyn?
If you’re visiting New York, you’ll probably ask that question. If you’re a native New Yorker, you probably know the answer.
See, like most New Yorkers, we love bagels.
But as much as we loved bagels, we somehow couldn’t find the best ones.
So here’s how Bagel Story really began.
We had enough of the stale bagels.
The ones that were too chewy.
The ones that tasted like they came out of a factory.
The ones with spooky ingredients.
We started Bagel Story with a mission to change all of that. To serve freshly-baked bagels right before your eyes made with the simplest ingredients. No preservatives. And all made entirely on site (including our specialty cream cheeses and breads).
It can’t get any better, can it?
“Where can I get a good bagel around here?”
We’re joking. It does get better.
Your bagel just wouldn’t be complete with some freshly-brewed coffee roasted right in the heart of Brooklyn. Our coffee shop partner, Cocoa Grinder, has its own roastery in good ol’ Bay Ridge. Cocoa Grinder carefully sources those beans from Central and South America, creating some pretty groovy blends.
And if bagels and coffee aren’t enough to get you feeling all happy inside, we’ve got some local Brooklyn goodies to offer, too. After all, We love supporting local bakeries and sourcing all the best pastries, desserts, and baked goods Brooklyn has to offer.
